here's looking at you!

Web cams send us pictures that are like TV programs coming to you from the Internet.  When you select a link below you are sent to a a zoo or some other site where a small camera is located.  This camera sends you live pictures.  You may have to wait a minute or two for the camera to link to your computer.  But it is worth it.

Panda cam at the San Diego Zoo

The pandas will come right up to the fence and pose for pictures.

Otter cam - Monterey Bay Aquarium

They certainly like to play.  But they may not be on camera when they are swimming about.

Penguin cam - Monterey Bay Aquarium

They swim, sleep, march around in a straight line, and prreen.  If you can't see them they are either swimming or eating.

Kelp Cam - Monterey Bay Aquarium

Fish in their natural habitat off the coast of California

Termite Cam - from the University of Florida

Termites seen live in a termite nest.

Elephant Cam - from the Indianapolis Zoo.

You can see a herd of elephants, sometimes with their keepers in a coral.  And you don't have to wait for the camera to load on your screen.  It's immediate.
